“Unfortunately I had four pre-molars extracted when I was a child, which led to an overbite and joint pain in adult hood. To correct my teeth/jaw alignment I received orthodontic treatment for two years, which meant that my remaining teeth were moved back into their correct alignment, but this created spaces where the pre-molars were once situated. I had two options: bridges or implants. I opted for implants, albeit the more expensive option, because I wanted teeth that would last a lifetime, would feel like my own teeth, and would not necessitate continual trips to the dentist. For me, I feel that implants are a lifetime investment, and ultimately peace of mind.” |
