We are delighted to announce that Zak Kara has joined the Dental Confidence team as an Associate Dentist.
Zak has a wealth of experience, having dedicated nearly 10 years to developing his skills in comprehensive dentistry. He will be providing various cosmetic dentistry treatments from teeth whitening to composite bonding, whilst participating in a mentoring programme alongside Dr Sanders.
Zak has studied and practised in various parts of the world and will now further develop his knowledge, confidence and competence in implant dentistry.
Zak grew up in South East London and graduated from The University of Sheffield. He began his career in dentistry in an award-winning practice near Sheffield University. He later honed his dentistry skills working in a practice on the Sunshine Coast of Australia.
Zak said, “Pete is well known for his work in educating other dentists in dental implantology, particularly from the ADI and the FGDP, so I was very pleased to take this position. I decided that I wanted to be able to offer my patients alternative options for replacing their missing teeth, as this all goes hand-in-hand with my philosophy of a comprehensive approach to dental treatment.”
“I first met Pete when I began his Beginners Implant Year Course in 2017.” Adds Zak “I was really impressed with the team approach at Dental Confidence, and the brilliant technology Pete used to make processes simpler and smoother for everybody.”
“For the last month I have been shadowing Pete in the treatment room and working alongside him and getting to know the team more. I’m excited about working alongside a team who understands the importance of attention to detail. My learning about implant dentistry alongside Pete will be a fun journey and will integrate brilliantly into our patients’ comprehensive care.”
Zak’s commitment to staying at the forefront of the dental profession has seen him study in various places around the world- including the well renowned Pankey Institute in the USA. He also completed a Postgraduate Diploma at the University of Bristol and completed his membership qualifications for the Royal College of Surgeons. Through this, he has developed nearly a decade of expertise in rehabilitating the health of teeth and gums.
Zak also dedicates two weeks every year to undertaking voluntary dental projects in less fortunate communities, including relieving pain by teaching emergency dental skills in Madagascar and Tanzania.
Dr Sanders will be hosting another Implant Year Course this year, beginning in Autumn- further details will be announced at a later date. To register your interest now, email firstname.lastname@example.org
