What is the Implant Year Course?
The Implant Year Course is a programme delivered over the course of 9 months, designed to equip delegates with the confidence and competence to successfully handle the diagnostic, treatment planning, surgical and restorative stages of straightforward implant cases in your own practice.
What will I learn?
You will be taught the theoretical and practical essentials in Implant Dentistry from an evidence based perspective. You will learn the risks and benefits of a variety of treatment modalities and you will gain the practical skills to confidently handle all stages of straightforward cases.
How long does the course last?
The course comprises of 8 days over the course of 9 months as well as 12 months mentoring from Peter Sanders following successful completion of the course.
Will I have to provide my own patients?
Each unit will involve a live patient demonstration and we usually provide the patients for this. The course is designed to provide with the skills and knowledge to treat patients at your own practice however we welcome delegates to bring patients along to our practice to work under supervision or observe Peter working (patient fees are collected by us in this instance)
What about ongoing support?
We believe that ongoing support is essential and as such we are on hand to answer any questions, review your treatment planning information and just generally advise and support you a long the way.
Do you teach a specific Implant System?
No. The course is not system specific. We cover the pro's and con's of most popular systems. We predominantly use Dentsply Sirona Ankylos so most practical elements will be shown with this system and Dentsply Sirona are usually on hand to offer additional support however should you wish to work with nother system this is not a problem.
Will I be provided with any supporting learning material?
All unit presentations and teaching material is made available to delegates electronically. You will also be provided with a suggested pre-reading list.
What is the cost?
The total cost is £5,000 which can be paid in full (with a £500 discount if paid by 28th February) or with a 20% deposit and the remainder spread across 6 months.
